English you already know
It may surprise you, but you already know more English than you think. From TV music and the internet you have heard a lot of English and already know many words. It doesn't matter what age you are or where you come from there is a good chance that you know a lot of English already. Think of all the English songs you've heard, maybe you remember the Beatles or Mariah Carey or something more recent like Justine Bieber, if you listen to music, watch TV or YouTube you probably already have an English vocabulary, not all the vocabulary learned from songs is useful or appropriate, so be careful what words you use.
Do you like to watch English TV or movies? I'm sure you have watched many English TV shows and many English movies. When you're watching TV shows, reading an English article, or listening to an English song. T I'm sure you pick up on many words. These words also carry over to work and social gatherings.
When you have some time try listening to English songs and watching English TV shows. Listen for vocabulary that you know and try to pick up on the words that are being used. Listen to the same movie or TV show with the subtitles turned on in English and look to see if the words that think you heard are correct. All of this will open more English for you, seeing it, hearing it, and reading it. is an exposure that can help you be fluent quickly. This is a good lesson to learn at the start of your English Journey. Spend as much time as you can reading, listening, speaking, and absorbing English.
Your brain is a muscle like other muscles in your body. It's important to use it and to exercise it. Think of learning a language like riding a bike, when you were a child you learned how to ride a bicycle. Once you became an adult you started driving or taking the bus. It has presumably been many years since you rode a bicycle.
If you get on a bicycle now do you think you will ride it well?
I don't think so. I think it will take a bit of time for your brain and your muscles to coordinate together. Once your brain and your muscles remember how to coordinate riding a bicycle. You will ride that bicycle very well. Learning and speaking a language is the same. If it has been many years since you learned a language, it will take some time for your brain and the muscles in your mouth to work together to speak that language. Understanding this is an important step to remembering, recapturing, or learning English and any other language.
